Our Accounting team has an opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist in our Omaha office.
Position Summary
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. In this position, you will review data entry and general ledger coding for invoices across assigned offices, process accounts payable transactions, and audit expense reports. You will also be responsible for vendor setup and maintaining vendor records, as well as recording and verifying numerical data to maintain accurate accounting records.

What You Will Do
- Process invoices for payment on a weekly basis
- Post accounts payable transactions
- Audit expense reports and process payments on a biweekly basis
- Review and correct invoices, including job costing and consultant invoices
- Maintain and update vendor records in Deltek Vantagepoint
- Import data, when applicable, to support accurate job costing and timely payments
- Process, reconcile, and audit petty cash reimbursements for offices
- Assist employees and vendors by answering questions related to accounts payable procedures
- Ad hoc projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in an accounts payable role
- Knowledge of general accounting practices
- Dynamic and collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts to shifting priorities and ambiguity in a high-growth company
- Proactive with a proven ability to work effectively and independently, with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Deltek Vantagepoint software
- Experience in an accounts payable function within a consulting A/E firm
