JOB OVERVIEW:

An Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist manages an organization's supplier payments, processing invoices and verifying expenses which requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Key duties include invoice data entry, matching POs, handling payments (ACH, checks), resolving discrepancies, and communicating with suppliers and internal teams.  

This role will specifically work with our US and Mexico accounting team to support our US and Mexican operations.

Term end date: Projected for end of December, 2026

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.

• Supplier Setup & Maintenance:
  • Perform initial setup and ongoing maintenance of all vendor accounts.
  • Review and approve new supplier requests, checking questionnaires, required tax forms (W-9s), and bank details for electronic payments.

• Supplier Relations: Respond to supplier inquiries and address payment-related issues.
• Process Improvement: Continuously work to improve payment processes. 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Skills: Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, problem-solving, communication, data entry, and time management. Spanish language is a plus!
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. 
• Education: High school diploma required, with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred by some employers. 
• Experience: Experience in bookkeeping or accounts payable is highly beneficial. 

Base hourly: $41/hr, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.
Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role
