Why is this role important to Field Nation?
The Accounting Manager will play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient financial operations. This role will oversee Bangladesh accounting and finance, support key US accounting activities, and partner closely with our US finance team on reporting and compliance.
The Accounting Manager will also lead and develop the Bangladesh accounting team while helping strengthen financial processes, controls, and collaboration across our global finance organization.
This position reports to the Controller and is located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
What you'll get to do:
Local Accounting:
Oversee payroll calculation, payment, and reporting for the Bangladesh team.
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for the Bangladesh entity, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
Ensure compliance with all Bangladesh statutory requirements.
Oversee tax filings in coordination with local tax advisors.
Monitor changes in Bangladesh tax law and accounting regulations and assess the impact on company operations.
US Accounting Support:
Oversee local team members responsible for certain US accounting activities, which may include Accounts Payable, Bank reconciliation, expense reporting, etc.
Prepare and review reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts for the US entity.
Coordinate with the US headquarters finance team to support consolidated reporting and audit requirements.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and US headquarters directives
Treasury & Banking:
Manage daily cash operations and bank relationships in Bangladesh.
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations related to foreign remittances and inward/outward payments.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and finance staff in the Bangladesh office.
Set performance objectives, conduct regular reviews, and support professional development.

Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
You might be a good fit if you have:
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
Business and/or Accounting degree.
Familiarity with Bangladesh tax regulations, including VAT, TDS, and corporate income tax.
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with US-based stakeholders.
Experience working with a company headquartered in the US or similar markets.
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage competing deadlines
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP; experience with dual-GAAP environments preferred.
Prior experience working for a multinational company organization is preferred.
Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Working days: Hybrid, Monday to Friday (3 Work from Home + 2 mandatory Work from Office days)
Working hours: 04:00 pm to 01:00 am

Salary Range:
BDT 180,000 - 230,000 (Monthly)
