What you will have an opportunity to do:

We are looking for someone great with numbers, who is highly engaging and customer focused to join our team as Accounting Clerk. The successful candidate for this role is engaging, highly detailed, and is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team, as well as being there to support the team both personally and professionally.

The Accounting clerk will ensure that all daily revenue transactions are reconciled and accounted for in accordance with established policies and procedures. The Accounting Clerk will also be responsible for the audit and posting of AP invoices for payment processing. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for preparing and invoicing selected AR accounts.

Your Role:

• Ensure proper distribution of daily reports in a timely manner and that all accounting reports are properly filed.
• Notify appropriate manager (s) when discrepancies arise. 
• Compare POs to Invoices and enter into AP system for payment processing after obtaining management approvals.
• Accurate coding and verification of a/p invoices is a central job function
• Perform all activities in a professional manner and in accordance with company policies.
• Processing and submitting accruals and reclasses to an integrated general ledger system

What are we looking for?

• Experience in responding to credit card disputes and chargebacks
• College degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
• Extensive knowledge of a hotel Front Office system is desirable; Oracle preferred
• An understanding of POS systems and how they maintain & process information
• Experience in a/p, invoicing, purchase order, and vendor management systems
• Advanced Excel knowledge
