We have a rare opportunity for an Accountant to join our Finance team working directly with our Financial Controller for a fixed-term, 12-month contract. This role can be based in our Newcastle or Sydney office.

More about the role

• Take ownership of the month-end close process, including the preparation of comprehensive financial packages, variance analysis, and reporting for the Board and Executive Committee.

• Support the firm's financial strategy by managing quarterly forecasts, supporting the annual budget process, and overseeing daily cash flow projections.

• Ensure statutory integrity by managing BAS, FBT, and Income Tax returns, while coordinating workers' compensation, payroll tax compliance, and annual audits.

• Manage the firm’s asset register, lease coordination, and partner capital contributions, while partnering with the CFO and FC on high-priority special projects.

More about you

• You will have relevant tertiary qualification for the role and have completed or be near completing a CA or CPA.

• To be successful you will be a logical thinker with the ability to problem solve in a commercially focussed way.

• Attention to details, time management skills and excellent communication are all essential for the role.
