Accountant – Accounts Receivable, Invoicing & Financial Operations

About the Role
At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to support accounts receivable, invoicing, cash flow tracking, financial reporting, and day-to-day financial operations.
This is not a bookkeeping-only role.
You’ll combine hands-on accounting execution with operational ownership and process improvement. A major part of the role is ensuring invoices and payments are tracked accurately while helping leadership improve financial visibility and modernize accounting workflows.
You’ll work across QuickBooks, Excel/Google Sheets, banking and payment platforms, and emerging automation tools to keep financial operations accurate, organized, scalable, and audit-ready.

What You’ll Own
Accounts Receivable & Invoicing
Own day-to-day receivables administration and ensure invoices and payments are accurately tracked.
You will:
- Prepare and issue invoices accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain accounts receivable records.
- Monitor outstanding customer balances.
- Review AR aging reports and identify overdue accounts.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and payment commitments.
- Confirm incoming payments and apply them accurately.
- Maintain organized records of payment activity.
- Track payment schedules and collection status.
- Help reduce overdue receivables through disciplined follow-up.
- Escalate payment issues or discrepancies when appropriate.
Cash Flow & Payment Tracking
- Monitor incoming payments and outgoing transaction activity.
- Maintain accurate cash flow and payment trackers.
- Track banking activity and payment schedules.
- Support treasury and banking coordination as needed.
- Identify discrepancies between expected and received payments.
- Provide leadership with clear visibility into:
- Receivables
- Outstanding balances

- Help ensure financial information remains current and decision-ready.
QuickBooks & Accounting Operations
- Maintain accurate accounting records within QuickBooks.
- Support reconciliations and transaction reviews.
- Ensure invoices, payments, and supporting financial records are correctly documented.
- Maintain consistency between accounting systems, spreadsheets, and financial trackers.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Keep financial documentation organized and audit-ready.
- Support recurring accounting and reporting activities.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and maintain:
- Accounts receivable reports
- AR aging reports
- Cash flow updates
- Payment tracking reports
- Financial summaries
- Operational finance reports
You’ll ensure leadership has accurate and timely information to understand the company’s financial position and make informed decisions.
Accounting Systems & Process Improvement
Help improve how accounting work gets done.
You will:
- Identify inefficient or overly manual accounting processes.
- Recommend scalable improvements.
- Support migration from QuickBooks to modern accounting platforms when required.
- Improve workflows around:
- Invoicing
- Payment tracking
- Reconciliations
- Reporting
- Financial documentation
- Create and improve accounting SOPs.
- Standardize recurring financial processes.
- Help reduce errors and repetitive manual work.
Automation & AI-Assisted Accounting
Support the modernization of financial operations through technology.
You will:
- Use automation tools to streamline recurring accounting tasks.
- Explore AI-assisted accounting workflows where appropriate.
- Help automate reporting, invoicing, payment tracking, and financial administration.
- Support integrations between accounting, banking, and operational systems.
- Identify processes that can be automated without compromising financial accuracy.
- Help leadership improve financial visibility through better systems and reporting.
Required Experience & Skills
Non-Negotiables
- 3+ years of accounting, accounts receivable, or financial operations experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Accounts receivable
- Invoicing
- Payment tracking
- Financial reporting
- QuickBooks
- Experience reviewing AR aging and outstanding balances.
- Experience following up on overdue payments or collections.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Familiarity with digital banking and payment processing platforms.
- Strong financial recordkeeping and documentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal English communication.
- Ability to communicate professionally with U.S.-based leadership and stakeholders.
- Ability to independently manage recurring financial responsibilities.
- Availability during U.S. business hours.
