The Opportunity: 
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting a wide range of finance-related activities across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, taking ownership of key processes, and using financial data to provide meaningful insights that support business decision-making. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Prepare monthly management accounts, journals, accruals, and supporting working papers  
• Support the month-end process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting  
• Assist with variance analysis and reporting for business leaders and budget holders  
• Complete balance sheet and payroll reconciliations  
• Support BAS, FBT, audit, and compliance requirements  
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities  
• Maintain fixed asset and lease accounting records  
• Provide reporting support, analysis, and financial insights to stakeholders  
• Assist with finance administration and a variety of accounting-related projects and activities  
•  Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support system enhancements where required.  

About you: 
You are a confident and capable finance professional who enjoys working autonomously while partnering effectively with stakeholders across the business. 

You will bring: 

• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role. Working in the Education Industry would be an advantage but not essential. 
• Experience with month-end processing, accruals, reconciliations, reporting support, and general accounting activities 
• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline 
• CPA/CA qualification (or currently working towards completion) 
• Experience using ERP systems such as Business Central or similar 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities 
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities 
• The ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.
