Truist is seeking talented students to join Consumer & Small Business Banking (CSBB) for the Summer 2027 Internship Program in Charlotte, NC.

Business Overview

Consumer & Small Business Banking (CSBB) serves millions of clients through digital banking, lending solutions, deposit products, personalized financial advice, and relationship-based service.

The CSBB Summer Internship Program offers opportunities across a variety of business units that help serve clients, drive innovation, and support strategic priorities. Whether you're interested in building client relationships, enhancing digital experiences, developing products, or supporting business execution, you'll gain meaningful experience and exposure to one of Truist's largest lines of business.

Interns will have the opportunity to indicate the business unit they are most interested in exploring, with placements determined based on candidate interests, qualifications, business needs, and available opportunities.

  • Premier & Branch Banking
    Serves as the face of Truist through its branch network, providing personalized financial advice, trusted relationships, and tailored solutions that help clients build financial confidence and achieve their goals.
  • Small Business Banking
    Supports business owners through banking, lending, and advisory solutions designed to help their businesses grow and thrive.
  • Consumer Lending
    Delivers lending products and solutions that help clients navigate important financial decisions and life milestones.
  • Digital, Client Experience & Marketing (DCXM)
    Shapes how clients discover, access, and experience Truist through digital capabilities, experience design, client insights, and marketing.
  • Deposits
    Develops the products, strategies, and experiences that help clients save, manage, and grow their money.
  • Business Execution & Risk Organization (BERO)
    Drives strategic execution, business management, risk oversight, organizational effectiveness, and operational excellence across CSBB.

Program Overview

The CSBB Summer Internship Program is a 10-week immersive experience based in Charlotte, NC, combining meaningful work, professional development, mentorship, networking, and exposure to senior leaders across Consumer & Small Business Banking. CSBB interns will participate full-time (39.5 hours per week) during Summer 2027.

Throughout the summer, interns will:

  • Gain exposure to the financial services industry and one of Truist's largest lines of business
  • Build skills in leadership, communication, analytics, project management, and problem-solving
  • Connect with leaders, mentors, and fellow interns across Truist
  • Participate in development experiences designed to strengthen business acumen and professional growth
  • Contribute to real business priorities and strategic initiatives while applying concepts and skills learned through training, development, and hands-on experience

Specific responsibilities and project opportunities may vary based on business placement.

Every aspect of the program is designed to help CSBB interns connect, learn from one another, and experience the power of One Team. By the end of the summer, you'll leave with meaningful experience, a stronger professional network, and skills that support your future career goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Communications, Analytics, Data Science, Technology, or a related field
  • Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
  • 3.0 GPA or higher preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership through work, campus, or community involvement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Interest in financial services and banking
  • Ability to work in Charlotte, NC for the duration of the internship program

General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of Truist Financial Corporation: All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position. Truist offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, tax-preferred savings accounts, and a 401k plan to teammates. Teammates also receive no less than 10 days of vacation (prorated based on date of hire and by full-time or part-time status) during their first year of employment, along with 10 sick days (also prorated), and paid holidays.
