Internship Program Overview
Raymond James is the place where good people grow and nowhere is that better demonstrated than in our internship program. During the 10-week immersive experience, you will engage with and implement the firm’s core values through our five guiding behaviors. Featuring a comprehensive orientation, onsite and remote training sessions in professional development, networking events, a speaker series, and volunteer opportunities, you will be equipped with knowledge of the business and culture to help you build relationships and develop skillsets for the internship and your future.
To be eligible for the summer 2027 internship program, you must be a junior or senior standing candidate pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a business-related field with a graduate date of May 2028 or December 2027. Most positions are based in St. Petersburg with other available locations depending on company need.
Candidates who successfully complete the internship program have the opportunity to transition into a full-time role at Raymond James after graduation.
Department Overview

Risk organization covers both financial and non-financial risk management activities which include Non-Financial Risk Management/Operations Risk Management, Model Risk Management, Credit Risk
Management, Market Risk Management, Treasury Risk Management and Enterprise Risk Management, Segment Risk Office and Strategy & Operations.
Financial Risk Management (Market, Treasury and Credit Risk) and Enterprise Risk
Under general supervision, uses skills gained through training and experience to assist with specific projects within the Financial Risk Management and Enterprise Risk Management teams for a specified period of time. The intern will participate in projects with significant scope and impact and provide assistance in areas of change management (e.g. new or enhanced enterprise or operational risk management programs, project management, research etc.) and business as usual execution of current risk programs. Follows established procedures to perform tasks and receives general guidance and direction to perform other work with substantial variety and varied complexity. Some judgment is required to adapt procedures, processes and techniques to apply to more complex assignments. Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to a higher level. Routine contact with internal and external customers may be required to exchange basic information.
Model Risk Management and Risk Data & Analytics
Under general supervision, uses skills gained through training and experience to assist with specific projects within the Model Risk Management and Data & Analytics teams for a specified period of time. The intern will participate in projects with significant scope and impact and provide assistance in areas of change management (e.g. new or enhanced enterprise or operational risk management programs, project management, research etc.) and business as usual execution of current risk programs. Follows established procedures to perform tasks and receives general guidance and direction to perform other work with substantial variety and varied complexity. Non-Financial Risk / Strategy & Operations

Follows established procedures to perform tasks and receives general guidance and direction to perform other work with substantial variety and varied complexity. Some judgment is required to adapt procedures, processes and techniques to apply to more complex assignments. Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to a higher level. Routine contact with internal and external customers may be required to exchange basic information..

Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supports ongoing risk management consulting activities for assigned area of responsibility in accordance with internal standards, relevant government statutes and regulations.
Partners with colleagues and business process owners to evaluate the control environment and develop recommendations to strengthen internal controls and mitigation strategies.
Stays up-to-date with evolving regulatory changes and market events impacting the business.
Develops and maintains an in-depth understanding of business areas, its products, and supporting functions.
Performs data collection and analysis in compliance with program requirements to assist in identifying, analyzing and recommending changes to core business processes to minimize risk.
Assists in performing reviews for assigned areas to identify key controls and mitigation strategies.
Performs evaluations of key controls or remediation activities.
Identifies, reviews, assesses and documents risk management and control issues in assigned business processes.
Assists in preparing written reports and recommendations on the effectiveness of assigned business processes and risk mitigation activities.
Builds and maintains key relationships with stakeholders demonstrating a culture of engagement and assistance.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (2028) with a major in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics. (Financial Risk Management (Market, Treasury and Credit Risk) and Enterprise Risk)
Bachelor’s degree (2028) with a major in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics (Model Risk Management and Risk Data & Analytics)
Bachelor’s degree (2028) with a major in Finance, Business Administration or Information Technology (Non-Financial Risk / Strategy & Operations)
