Requirements
Working as a summer analyst at DC Advisory is challenging and rewarding. Summer Analysts gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and expanded knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communication, marketing and sales skills.
Day-to-day, Summer Analysts work closely with full-time bankers to:
- Build and maintain financial models
- Run analyses and test strategic options available to clients
- Prepare pitch materials, CIMs, board decks and management presentations
- Cover industry trends
- Support financial and industry due diligence
- Provide analytical support to senior bankers and assist on relationship management responsibilities
- Utilize AI tools Claude and Rogo both innovatively and responsibly to boost performance and streamline workflows
Summer Analysts in DC Advisory’s Washington D.C. office typically gain exposure to the Aerospace, Defense and Government Services, Education and Technology industries. Our summer analysts and associates work closely with managing directors and other senior bankers, playing an integral role on transaction teams. Through select client meeting participation, they may also gain exposure to senior executives at client companies.
