Your Future in Product Starts Here

For more than a century, TIAA has stood alongside educators, researchers, healthcare workers, and nonprofit professionals — helping them build the financial security they deserve. Recognized as one of the world's most ethical companies, we are an organization where your work is both purposeful and rewarding. Our internship program is at the heart of that mission.

At the center of that promise is something most financial services firms can't offer: guaranteed lifetime income. TIAA's Insurance Solutions & New Markets (IS&NM) organization builds, manages, and evolves the products — like TIAA Traditional and CREF — that give millions of educators, researchers, and nonprofit professionals the confidence that their money will outlive them. This summer, you'll get an inside look at how that promise is built and brought to market.

Where You'll Make an Impact

As an intern in IS&NM, you'll contribute to work that spans:

Your Path Within IS&NM

  • Retirement Products — TIAA's flagship retirement products and solutions, including TIAA Traditional, Secure Income Account (SIA), Guaranteed Fixed Account (GFA), TIAA Stable Value, CREF, Real Estate Account (REA), Individual Retirement Accounts, RetirePlus, and In-plan Managed Accounts
  • Product Development & Innovation — How new products, features, and market opportunities are developed and brought to market
  • Business Strategy & Operations — The planning processes and operational effectiveness efforts that drive enterprise execution
  • Business Development & Product Implementation — How strategic partnerships and third-party implementation bring TIAA's products to life for clients and plan sponsors

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Gain exposure to key business functions within IS&NM's Product and Business Development organization
  • Support product management activities and research related to TIAA's retirement products and solutions
  • Prepare research materials and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau
  • Collaborate with internal teams to help deliver on product or solution strategy
  • Conduct meetings with subject matter experts to understand product offerings, lifecycles, features, and benefits
