We're looking for a z/OS System Programmer to join our GIS team in the EU (remote/distributed).
What you'll do:
- Install, configure and maintain z/OS and its associated software components
- Execute builds, migrations, refresh, CPU swaps and LPAR build/decommission projects
- Provide 24x7 on-call support and participate in disaster recovery drills
- Manage security profiles, access control and I/O configuration
- Analyze system performance using SMF data
- Maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles
- Lead and mentor a remote team distributed across several EU countries
What we're looking for:
- 8+ years in z/OS system programming
- Strong command of z/OS architecture, system commands, utilities and troubleshooting
- Experience with system management tools and automation
- Good level of English
- Leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to have:
- z/OS certification or related field
- Experience with JES, IMS, CICS
- Knowledge of REXX or COBOL
- Experience with cloud-based mainframe environments
