Job Description:

The role

We are looking for a Workday HCM Systems Analyst to join our Back Office Platforms team.

You will be part of our Functional Specialist team, responsible for the configuration, integration and continuous optimisation of Workday HCM, with a primary focus on Workday Recruiting.

Working closely with HR stakeholders, business leaders and technical IT teams, you will help ensure Workday remains fit for purpose, integrates effectively with our wider technology landscape and continues to meet evolving business requirements.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining Workday expertise with stakeholder partnership, process improvement and problem-solving. You will play an important part in creating a positive user experience supported by efficient processes, high-quality data and meaningful reporting and analytics.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Deliver Workday-related projects within agreed timelines and budgets,
• Translate business requirements into practical Workday HCM solutions that align with the wider product and business roadmap,
• Partner with HR stakeholders to improve processes within Workday and maximise the value of the platform,
• Support the ongoing configuration and optimisation of Workday Recruiting and related HCM functionality,
• Contribute to Workday release management, including regression testing, feature assessment and the optimisation of new functionality,
• Investigate and resolve production incidents and service requests while maintaining a high standard of support,
• Build strong relationships with HR functional leaders, business stakeholders and technical teams,
• Work with stakeholders to ensure Workday reporting is accurate, reliable and aligned with business needs,
• Maintain strong standards of data quality by supporting data validation, controls, ownership and secure management,
• Help drive user engagement and adoption by ensuring training and support services meet business expectations,
• Collaborate with Systems Operations to document processes, workflows and system changes clearly,
• Review and continuously improve business processes across the Workday environment,
• Support the implementation and regular testing of system security controls,
• Contribute to wider business initiatives involving Workday, HR technology and connected platforms,
• Support the broader Back Office Platforms team with cross-functional solutions.

What we are looking for

• Experience supporting, configuring or optimising Workday HCM,
• Strong experience or knowledge of Workday Recruiting,
• The ability to translate business requirements into clear and effective system solutions,
• Experience supporting Workday releases, testing activities or feature deployments,
• A good understanding of HR processes, data quality, reporting and system controls,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
• The ability to build effective working relationships with HR, IT and business stakeholders,
• A user-focused approach, with an interest in improving processes and making systems easier to use,
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities,
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable experience

• Experience working within a Workday Functional Specialist, HRIS or enterprise applications team,
• Knowledge of Workday reporting and analytics,
• Experience supporting system integrations or working with technical integration teams,
• Familiarity with Workday security, data governance or release management,
• Experience documenting business processes and system workflows.
