Job Details:
We seek a work-study student to assist research staff with laboratory operations. This position provides hands-on support to ensure lab safety, maintain organization, and follow administrative protocols. This is not a research position.
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities Include but are Not Limited to:
- -80C freezer preventative maintenance
- Flushing eye wash stations
- Washing and autoclaving dishes
- Monitoring and replacing desiccant
- Submitting biological and chemical waste, sharps, and broken glass for proper disposal
- Maintaining written and electronic records
- Maintaining inventory lists
- Restocking consumables
- This is not a research position
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use office machines (computer, printer etc.)
- Familiarity with MS Office
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Work independently
- Follow detailed instructions
Preferred Qualifications
Six months experience supporting a research laboratory
Salary Range
$15.00 per hour
