Located in Forest Grove, Oregon, Pacific Avenue Veterinary Clinic is a well-established small-animal practice that has proudly served the community since 1998. The clinic provides comprehensive care for dogs, cats, and small animals, offering services ranging from wellness and preventive care to dentistry, surgery, diagnostics and imaging, urgent care, and exotic pet care. With a compassionate, down-to-earth approach and a focus on low-stress handling, the team is committed to providing high-quality medicine while creating a comfortable experience for both pets and their families.

What You’ll Be Doing
As an Experienced Veterinary Assistant you will:

• Confidently place IV catheters
• Draw blood and assist with diagnostics
• Provide hands-on care and monitoring for hospitalized and critical patients
• Assist veterinarians during treatments and procedures
• Support patient comfort, safety, and recovery in a fast-paced setting
• Help maintain an efficient, organized treatment area
• Answer phones and deliver exceptional customer service
• Detail oriented

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 5 years as a Veterinary Assistant
• Confidence in IV catheter placement and jugular blood draws
• Strong patient handling and restraint skills
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and compassionate in high-stress situations
• Ability to participate in any area of the clinic as needed
