Location: 2985 Alafaya Trail, Oviedo, FL 32765

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:30pm. Saturdays rotate. Sundays closed.

Alafaya Trail Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time veterinarian to join our three-doctor team in Oviedo. For more than 20 years we have cared for the pets of East Orlando, and many of our clients have been with us for decades. That kind of loyalty comes from seeing the same families year after year, and you'll have the time and the team to build those relationships yourself. Our caseload runs from wellness and puppy and kitten care to dentistry, soft tissue surgery, allergy and dermatology, internal medicine and urgent care, with laser therapy as part of how we practice.

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE

• A schedule that protects your time. Weekday hours, a rotating Saturday and Sundays closed. We'll work with you to build a schedule that fits your life.
• Real support when you need it. You'll join a three-doctor team, including a Spanish-speaking doctor who helps us serve more of our community, so there's always a colleague to think a case through with.
• Varied medicine. Surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, allergy and dermatology, and laser therapy are all part of daily practice, so you can build on the areas you enjoy most.
• Long-term relationships with clients. Our families have trusted this hospital for decades, so you'll spend your days with people and pets who know us well.
• Benefits that actually matter. Comprehensive health, dental, vision and retirement packages, plus generous PTO, paid holidays, pet discounts, and an Employee Assistance Program. We cover your dues, license fees, DEA and AVMA-PLIT, along with a CE allowance!
• Partnership opportunities for the right candidate. Through Veterinary Practice Partners (VPP), more than 260 veterinarians co-own their practices across 185 locations. We believe in investing in our team members and offer pathways to ownership for those who want to build their future with us.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution
• Valid veterinary license in the state of Florida (or ability to obtain)
• DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• Comfort with a mix of wellness, dental, soft tissue surgery and urgent care cases
• A kind, collaborative approach that fits our long-standing culture
