Wolt is part of DoorDash, and together we run one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe. We’re looking for a VAT Manager to join us as an in-house advisor on VAT matters across the business. You’ll work closely with Finance, Legal, Business and Product teams, translating VAT rules into clear, practical guidance for the wider organisation.

What you’ll be doing

This role is primarily advisory: you’ll be the go-to person for VAT questions across the business, working on several projects in parallel rather than owning a single recurring process. You’ll partner with teams across multiple functions to make sure VAT is considered early and handled correctly.

Day-to-day in this role you’ll:

• Provide VAT advisory support to multiple teams and projects across the business
• Review new products and features for their VAT treatment and implications
• Review contracts from a VAT perspective, flagging risks and suggesting language
• Identify, assess and manage VAT risks 
• Support in VAT audits, coordinating with tax authorities and internal stakeholders
• Support specific reporting obligations, such as CESOP, as an SME

• Solid experience in VAT, including advisory work
• Experience with tax audits 
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate VAT rules into practical, non-technical guidance
• A background in financial services VAT and experience with CESOP reporting is a nice-to-have, but not essential
