Position Overview:

Provides a variety of routine and specialized clerical and administrative duties in support of a nursing care unit. Executes a variety of clerical duties, prioritizes information and requests in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety. May also be responsible for orienting new staff to the department/unit.

Job Description:

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of recent relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, imaging views, and related equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), EHR systems, and Epic.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
• Ability to interpret and apply written, verbal, and procedural instructions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills using established policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of patient privacy and confidentiality requirements (PHI).
• Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Exercises sound judgment and demonstrates strong administrative skills.
• Consistently demonstrates effective communication and competent job performance.

Pay Range is $34.78 to $48.69 / hour

The posted pay range is based on the position's primary work location. Candidates who reside and work outside of that location may be subject to a different pay range based on their work location. Candidate starting salaries consider multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
