About the unit

4 North is a 33-bed unit at Butterworth Hospital specializing in orthopedic, trauma and burn care. Our team works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary group of professionals including nursing, physicians, APPs, rehab therapists, and care managers to provide high quality, comprehensive care to our patients. Common diagnoses for our patient population include polytrauma, gunshot wounds, falls, motor vehicle accidents, burns, and orthopedic complications as a result of a traumatic injury. Our team is focused on creating an inclusive and encouraging culture that aims to meet people where they are, supports them in continuous learning, challenges them to grow in their practice and celebrates individual and collective accomplishments. Since 1873, we have been growing and building a reputation of excellence in care, diagnostics, treatment, prevention and education. It is the flagship hospital for Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospitals.  

Scope of work  

Performs receptionist/secretarial duties and maintains confidential records, supplies and equipment per hospital and unit specific standards. Greets and directs guests on the unit in a manner that reflects a welcoming environment. Performs computer entry, schedules tests/procedures, processes orders, and performs other related activities per unit/hospital standard within a reasonable time frame.  

Qualifications  

• High School Diploma or Equivalent 

• 2 years of relevant experience Preferred
