You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working pro-actively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.

This role is a broad and collaborative UI/UX position within BDO's IT Solutions Development team, combining hands-on product design with consultancy and design governance. Working closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers and business stakeholders, the individual will help shape digital products from initial discovery through to delivery and ongoing enhancement. The role focuses on understanding user and business needs, translating them into intuitive, accessible and brand-aligned experiences, and ensuring design quality is maintained throughout implementation.

The UI/UX Designer will lead and contribute to research, workshops, user journey mapping and usability testing to inform design decisions. They will create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and detailed interfaces for complex, data-rich applications, using user feedback and analytics to continuously improve product experiences. A key aspect of the role is ensuring all designs align with BDO's Product Design Standards, Design System, brand requirements and accessibility standards while working closely with developers to support successful delivery.

Alongside product design responsibilities, the role also acts as a UI/UX consultancy function across the wider firm. This includes advising teams on websites, reporting, dashboards, templates and data visualisation, facilitating workshops and design reviews, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing development of BDO's UI/UX capability, helping to establish best practice, maintain design standards and strengthen the role of user-centred design across the organisation.

You’ll be someone with:

• Strong UI/UX design experience across digital products and complex applications
• Proven experience taking products from discovery and research through to delivery and continuous improvement
• Strong visual, interaction and user-centred design skills
• Advanced Figma expertise, including prototyping, component libraries and responsive design
• Experience working with design systems, accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers and stakeholders
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while maintaining high design standards
