Contracts Manager – Turbostar

Location: Birmingham / Hybrid

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Turbostar Contracts Manager to oversee and manage all contractual aspects related to our Turbostar fleet.

This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation and maintenance of these critical assets.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer all contracts pertaining to the Turbostar fleet, including maintenance, overhaul, spare parts, and service level agreements.
• Negotiate, review, and draft contract terms and conditions with suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers.
• Monitor contractor performance against agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Develop and implement strategies for contract renewals, extensions, and terminations.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, finance, and operations, to ensure contract requirements are met.
• Manage and resolve contractual disputes, claims, and variations in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on contractual matters to senior management.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and changes in relevant legislation impacting rail contracts.
  
  
  

About you

• Proven experience (5+ years) in contract management, preferably within the rail or rolling stock sector.
• Demonstrable experience managing complex, high-value contracts.
• Good understanding of legal principles related to contracts, including commercial law and dispute resolution.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyse complex information, identify risks, and develop effective solutions.
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A relevant degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.Knowledge of railway operations and rolling stock engineering would be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
