The Role

We are hiring a Travel Consultant with hands-on Sabre GDS experience to support airline reservations, post-booking travel operations, itinerary management, invoicing, and payment verification for premium international travelers.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in Sabre, airline ticketing, PNR management, corporate travel, flight reservations, travel operations, or business and first-class travel who enjoys detailed, process-driven work.

Once a flight ticket has been issued by the Ticketing team, the booking is handed over to you. You will make sure the reservation and passenger information are accurate, prepare the complete travel itinerary and invoice, verify payment status, and coordinate additional travel services such as airport transfers, seat assignments, frequent flyer information, and special meal requests.

This is not primarily a travel sales role. The focus is on accurate post-booking fulfillment, travel coordination, and delivering a seamless experience after the client's flight has been confirmed.

Compensation

• $500–$600 USD per month, depending on experience.
• Compensation is reviewed based on performance, with clear milestones tied to progression.

What You'll Do

Airline Reservations, PNR & Itinerary Management

• Manage confirmed airline reservations and post-booking travel details using information handed over by the Ticketing team
• Create or update complete trip records, including flight details, passenger information, seat assignments, meal preferences, and Frequent Flyer Numbers (FFNs)
• Review booking and passenger information carefully to ensure it matches the confirmed reservation and issued ticket
• Support travel operations involving Sabre GDS, airline reservations, PNR details, itinerary changes, and post-ticketing coordination
• Build accurate, client-ready travel itineraries for international business-class and first-class bookings
• Coordinate additional travel services such as airport chauffeur transfers, seat selections, and special meal requests
• Record all confirmed travel arrangements and updates in the client management system

Invoicing & Payment Verification

• Prepare client invoices using FreshBooks based on instructions from your Team Lead
• Review invoices for accuracy before submitting them for approval
• Verify that payments have been received and correctly recorded before client deliverables are sent
• Cross-check payments made through Stripe, bank wire transfers, PayPal, and cryptocurrency using Ascend's internal processes
• Identify discrepancies between booking, invoice, and payment records and escalate them immediately to your Team Lead
• Maintain accurate billing and payment records across multiple systems

Client Communication

• Send approved itineraries and invoices to clients through Periskope
• Communicate clearly and professionally with founders, executives, investors, and other premium travelers
• Make sure client-facing information is accurate, polished, and consistent with the confirmed booking
• Keep travel records updated so the Client Service and Ticketing teams have accurate information at all times

Travel Operations & Quality Control

• Ensure passenger names, flight details, PNR information, invoice amounts, payment status, and additional travel arrangements match across systems
• Update records in real time whenever a booking changes
• Ensure no booking task remains unactioned for more than 30 minutes during your shift
• Coordinate with the Ticketing team when a confirmed flight requires changes after ticket issuance
• Work with the Client Service team on client-facing travel updates
• Escalate payment discrepancies, booking mismatches, or complex travel issues to your Team Lead promptly

What You Bring

• Must have 1–2+ years of professional experience in travel operations, airline reservations, airline ticketing, corporate travel, travel consulting, or a similar travel-industry role
• Hands-on professional experience using Sabre GDS
• Experience using Sabre for airline reservations, PNR management, ticketing, rebooking, itinerary management, or post-booking travel support
• Familiarity with airline booking workflows, passenger information, flight itineraries, and reservation records
• Experience creating or managing invoices using FreshBooks, QuickBooks, or a similar billing platform
• Experience verifying or reconciling payments through card payments, bank transfers, or digital payment platforms
• Strong attention to detail when working across multiple travel, CRM, booking, and billing systems
• Strong written English and the ability to communicate professionally with clients
• Ability to manage multiple active bookings and tasks without losing track of important details

NOTE: Sabre GDS experience is required for this role. Candidates without hands-on professional Sabre experience will not be considered.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting corporate travel, executive travel, VIP travel, luxury travel, or business and first-class airline reservations
• Experience with international flight reservations, ticket changes, rebooking, refunds, exchanges, or post-ticketing support
• Familiarity with other Global Distribution Systems (GDS), such as Amadeus or Travelport/Galileo, in addition to Sabre, experience using itinerary management platforms such as Travefy, Axus, TravelJoy, Tourwriter, or similar tools
• Experience with FreshBooks, Stripe, Asana, CRM platforms, or client communication tools
• Working knowledge of passenger information such as PNRs, Known Traveler Numbers (KTNs), Frequent Flyer Numbers (FFNs), seat assignments, and special meal requests
• Background supporting high-touch or premium international travelers
• Genuine interest in travel and delivering seamless customer experiences
