About First Principles

First Principles is a product consultancy that builds radical value for ambitious, emerging technology startups. We provide product leadership and strategic support, blending modern technology with thoughtful design to shape tomorrow's products. We were founded by startup and enterprise leaders who have built and scaled products across many industries.

We work with clients in four ways: AI-first PM training and certification, product coaching, fractional product leadership through CPOs and PMs who set vision and keep roadmaps on track, and AI-first product squads that go from concept to prototype in days instead of months. Our team runs on curiosity, empathy, and continuous improvement.

The Program

You'll be working on our AI-First Product Management Training and Certification program. Enterprise product organizations bring us in over 12 to 16 weeks to help their product managers become more effective by putting AI to work in the job they already do, from spotting opportunities to shaping and shipping them responsibly. Every engagement is customized to the client's industry, products, approved tools, and governance constraints, and runs as a closed cohort.

A cohort includes live practitioner-led sessions, graded hands-on assignments, pre and post competency assessments, an async learning community, and a professional certification. Cohorts range from dozens of participants to a couple hundred.

The Role

Our instructors are working product leaders and engineers who teach and build the course content. They are excellent at that and they are busy. What we need is the person who makes the whole machine run around them.

You are the operational owner of a training cohort. You build the plan, hold the schedule, chase the decks, set up the tools and access, run the room during live sessions, and keep the client informed throughout. This is a client-facing role with enterprise stakeholders, so polish and follow-through matter as much as organization. You will not create curriculum or teach, but you will be the most consistent presence in the program for both the client and the instructors.

Right now this is scoped as a fixed fee per cohort. As we bring on more clients and run multiple cohorts at once, this has a strong chance of growing into a full-time role.

Responsibilities

Program planning and tracking. Build and maintain a single source of truth for the planning and delivery of each cohort in an approved project management tool. Track every milestone, owner, and due date from kickoff through certification, and flag risks early enough that someone can act on them.

Instructor coordination and content readiness. Coordinate 6 to 10 instructors across scheduling and content preparation. Lock in who teaches what and when, then manage the deadlines for each session's materials as they are created or updated for the client. Instructors own the substance of their content. You own it being ready on time, following the required template, and moving through our accessibility and content review process on schedule.

Session delivery and live support. Join live sessions and run everything that is not the teaching: moderating and triaging Q&A, sharing links and resources in chat, launching polls, and handling technical issues so the instructor can stay focused on delivery.

Technology, access, and setup. Own the tech stack setup for each cohort in partnership with the team members who manage our tools and systems. Provision and verify access for participants and instructors, run platform checks before sessions, and resolve access issues quickly.

Cohort and participant coordination. Coordinate cohort formation, scheduling, invites, reminders, and communications. Track attendance and completion, and follow up with participants who are falling behind.

Assignments, assessments, and certification. Coordinate submissions and tracking for up to six assignments per cohort, depending on what the client opts into. Execute the AI-assisted grading process with technical support from our team, working alongside the people who create supplementary assignment and assessment content. Support the pre and post competency assessment process, and manage the creation and distribution of certificates.

Learning community and resources. Keep questions in the async learning community answered, and maintain the digital resource library of session recordings, exercises, and reference materials so participants can find what they need.

Client communication. Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for the client's program stakeholders. Send proactive status updates, answer questions, escalate what needs escalating, and manage expectations before they become problems.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Client-facing program management experience. At least 2 years running programs, projects, campaigns, or accounts where enterprise clients were on the other side of the table and you were the one they contacted. Backgrounds that translate well include corporate or conference events, enterprise client success and account management, project or program management at an agency or consultancy, and learning and development program coordination.

Serious organization and follow-through. You keep the tracker current, notice what is about to slip, and chase the person who owes you something without being reminded. Nothing quietly falls through. This is the single most important quality for the role.

Stakeholder management across a group of busy people. You are comfortable holding senior practitioners to deadlines they did not set for themselves, and doing it in a way that keeps the relationship good.

Near-native English, C2 minimum. Written and spoken. You will be moderating a virtual room full of enterprise product managers and writing directly to client stakeholders.

Comfort with tools and systems. Fast to learn new platforms, and confident with project management tools, Google Workspace, Slack, and video conferencing platforms including their poll, breakout, and chat features. Comfortable being hands-on with AI tools daily, since this is what we teach and how we work.

Available for US-aligned hours. The schedule is otherwise flexible, but live sessions and client calls run on US time, so you need consistent overlap with US business hours.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting corporate training, professional education, or certification programs
  • Familiarity with LMS or learning platforms, discussion communities, or webinar platforms
  • Awareness of presentation accessibility standards and how to check materials against them
  • Experience working with enterprise clients in regulated or highly governed industries
  • Background working with or around product management teams

Benefits

Compensation and Logistics

  • Engagement type: 1099 contractor
  • Structure: Fixed fee per training cohort
  • Expected commitment: The workload is uneven by design. Expect 10-20 hours per week in the three to four weeks of setup before a cohort launches, 5-8 hours per week while the program is running, and one final 10-20 hour week to close out grading, certification, and wrap-up. There is strong potential to grow toward full time as we scale to multiple concurrent cohorts.
  • Location: Fully remote, LATAM
  • Working hours: Flexible schedule with required overlap with US business hours
  • Start: Targeting September, ahead of an October cohort kickoff
