As a Tool Equipment Install Technician, you will be a vital individual contributor within Intel's Project Execution Team, supporting the construction and commissioning of cutting-edge wafer fabrication facilities. This is a hands-on, technically demanding role that sits at the intersection of engineering, construction, and semiconductor manufacturing. This is a fixed-term opportunity lasting approximately 12 months, with the potential for extension subject to the approval of both parties.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Blueprint Reading: Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to ensure all structures and systems are built to specification and design intent.
• Mathematical Proficiency: Perform accurate measurements and calculations to minimize errors, reduce rework, and maintain project quality standards.
• Tool Handling: Safely and efficiently operate a wide range of tools, machinery, and equipment in compliance with site safety protocols.
• Material Knowledge: Identify and select appropriate materials based on their properties to ensure durability, compliance, and suitability for specific tasks.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve unexpected on-site challenges quickly and effectively to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
• Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent workstreams, including planning, execution, and progress monitoring across installation phases.
• Supplier Management: Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to project requirements and quality standards.
• Lean Principles: Apply lean methodologies to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure safe operations from construction through commissioning.
• Safety Leadership: Build and actively promote a Culture of Care across all work environments — from office settings to active construction sites — throughout every phase of the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:

 

• A High School Diploma or GED (or higher, non-semiconductor degree) may qualify with one of the following: 2.5+ years of related equipment maintenance experience or 3+ years of technical experience; 4+ years of related hands-on experience or military technical experience; 4+ years of Field Service Engineer (FSE)-level semiconductor equipment maintenance experience; or 6+ years of related hands-on experience, including military technical experience.
• An associate degree in a STEM field related to Semiconductor Manufacturing (MET) or STEM (Operator track) with 2+ years of related equipment maintenance experience, or 6+ years of equipment maintenance experience.
• Or a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field related to Semiconductor Manufacturing (MET) or STEM (Operator track) with no prior experience required, or with 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or another related technical field.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $52,000.00-$200,000.00 (Hourly Role)
