Located on the southeastern coast of the pristine island of Lāna’i, lies the secluded retreat of Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i, an oceanfront destination offering travelers a curated, personalized island escape. The five-star, five-diamond Resort offers outdoor restaurants, including Nobu Lāna’i, a kid’s club, Tennis Garden, cultural programming, beach and pool with spacious seating areas nestled among tropical gardens, Hawanawana spa and luxury retail boutiques. Built on lava outcroppings, the award-winning Jack Nicklaus-signature golf course features ocean views on every hole.  THE BREAK COOK III 

The Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i is looking for passionate individuals, where you will create exceptional guest experiences, showcase your expertise and enthusiasm, and embody the Golden Rule in every interaction. 

 

The Cook III prepares menu items to guest specifications while supporting daily kitchen operations in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:     

• Prepare and present high-quality food items according to recipes, portion standards, and guest specifications.  

• Set up and maintain assigned workstation, including mise en place and service preparation.  

• Manage an assigned kitchen station independently while supporting efficient kitchen operations, using foundational culinary skills gained through on-the-job training. 

• Prepare items in advance as required, ensuring production aligns with forecasted needs to prevent overproduction. 

• Monitor inventory levels, complete prep and freezer pulls, and communicate product shortages.  

• Follow food safety and sanitation standards, including proper labeling, dating, storage, and temperature control.  

• Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.  

• Minimize waste and support food cost control through proper product utilization and inventory practices.  

• Operate, maintain, and properly clean kitchen equipment, including but not limited to fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, ovens, grills, mixers, slicers, food processors, tilt kettles, steam tables, and waffle irons

ABOUT THE BREAK 

The Break welcomes visitors into a comfortable place to relax, get work done or enjoy a game, all overlooking Hulopo'e Bay. Open early for coffee and light breakfast items such as pastries, acai bowls, fresh juices and more. Later enjoy sandwiches and salads to eat in or to go, housemade gelato and tapas-style small plates to share in the evening, complemented by a tempting drinks menu with local beer, boutique wine and craft cocktails. Finish off with coffee cocktails and nightcaps paired with desserts and our signature lilikoi cheesecake.   

 

WHAT TO BRING 

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States 

• The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability is required. 

• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card   

• Hawaii Food Handler’s Card and ServSafe is required for this role 

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 70 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts  

• Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean all equipment and utensils. Proficient knife skills and ability to multi-task.
