To strengthen our innovation and product development activities, we are looking for a Technology Innovation/SW Product Engineer who can make a strong practical contribution to the development of new defense products. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical curiosity with a hands-on engineering mindset and is able to turn innovative ideas into tangible results.
About the role
As a Technology Innovation/ SW Product Engineer, you will play a key role in exploring, integrating and applying new technologies in the development of new products and capabilities for the defense domain. You quickly understand new technologies, combine different systems and technical components, and translate Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to demonstrators and/or Minimal Viable Products (MVPs).
You are comfortable working independently on software development tasks, while also collaborating with stakeholders to shape the path from prototype to production-ready solutions. You are able to make pragmatic technical decisions under time pressure and contribute to iterative development with a strong focus on time to value.

Build hands-on software and translate PoCs to demonstrators and/or MVPs.

Your profile
- You are a practical engineer with a strong interest in innovation and product development.
- Enjoys working in high tech environments where technology, integration and delivery come together.
- Adaptable, analytical, and able to turn technical complexity into workable and valuable solutions.
- Hold a BSc or MSc in a technical discipline, preferably Computer Science, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
In addition, you bring:
- The ability to quickly understand and apply new technologies.
- Experience in combining multiple technologies and systems into functional solutions.
- Strong hands-on software engineering skills.
- The ability to independently develop new software and modify existing solutions.
- Experience with Java and openness to working with multiple programming languages and frameworks.
- Strong hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Affinity with and/or experience in technology integration.
- The ability to quickly learn and work with API integrations, legacy environments, third-party solutions, Linux.
- High technology adaptability.
