About the Role

We're scaling from roughly 30 to 70–100 people over the next 6–12 months, and most of those hires are engineers. As our Technical Recruiter, you'll own full-cycle searches for infrastructure, distributed systems, AI/ML and GPU cloud roles. You'll report to our Head of Talent and partner directly with founders and engineering leaders. This is a hands-on role: you'll spend most of your time sourcing, engaging and closing great technical talent, and you'll help shape the recruiting engine as we build it.

What You Will Do

• Own full-cycle recruiting for engineering and technical roles, from intake to signed offer.

• Run intake meetings with hiring managers to define role requirements, candidate profiles and search strategy.

• Proactively source passive candidates across LinkedIn, GitHub, open-source communities, research papers, conferences and referrals.

• Write compelling outreach and pitch Hyperbolic's mission and technical challenges to senior engineers.

• Screen candidates for technical fit, motivation and culture add, and keep hiring managers calibrated on the market.

• Coordinate structured interview loops, gather scorecard feedback and drive timely hiring decisions.

• Manage offers and closing, partnering with the Head of Talent on leveling and compensation.

• Deliver a fast, thoughtful candidate experience at every stage.

• Keep pipeline data clean in our ATS (Ashby) and report on funnel health, time-to-hire and source effectiveness.

• Help build employer brand in the AI and infrastructure community through events, content and referrals.

Who You Are

• 3–6 years of technical recruiting experience, ideally including time at a high-growth startup or tech company.

• A track record of hiring engineers in infrastructure, distributed systems, cloud, AI/ML or developer tools.

• A strong, creative sourcer who enjoys finding and engaging passive talent.

• Enough technical fluency to hold credible conversations with senior engineers and understand what makes them great.

• Skilled at managing a full requisition load while keeping hiring managers aligned and moving quickly.

• Data-minded: you use funnel metrics and market intel to adjust your approach.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, with a talent for selling a mission.

• Comfortable with ambiguity, high ownership and building process while you execute.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience recruiting at an AI lab, neocloud, hyperscaler, GPU cloud or infrastructure company.

• Early recruiting hire at a venture-backed startup.

• An existing network across AI, ML and infrastructure engineering talent.

• Hands-on experience with Ashby or a similar modern ATS, plus sourcing tools and AI-assisted search.

• Familiarity with open-source communities.
