Overview:
As a Technical Product Marketing Manager, you will help developers, architects, data practitioners, evaluators and teams building AI-powered applications, agents, and automations understand, evaluate, and adopt Precisely technology. Sitting at the intersection of Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and Sales Engineering, you will translate complex technologies into compelling technical content, demonstrations, and experiences that support product adoption and go-to-market success.
This is an individual contributor role with no people management responsibilities. It is an excellent opportunity for a software engineer, CS graduate, or technical professional looking to transition into product marketing. If you enjoy working with both technology and customers, want to use your engineering background to help customers understand how products solve real business problems, this role offers a clear growth path from individual contributor to broader ownership in technical marketing.
What you will do:
- Work collaboratively with Product Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Engineering, and Sales Engineers to create technical messaging that helps practitioners understand product capabilities and architecture, ensuring it accurately supports market positioning.
- Develop technical content — including demonstrations, solutions guides, presentations, videos, and blogs — for developers, data practitioners, and teams building AI-powered applications and automations.
- Support product launches by preparing technical marketing assets and evaluation materials.
- Deliver material that supports customer meetings, webinars, conferences, industry events, and other technical engagements.
- Produce technical enablement materials for Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and partners.
- Support developer experiences including developer portals and product-led growth initiatives, under the guidance of senior team members.
- Develop deep technical expertise in assigned products and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with team members across Marketing to develop the tools and processes that allow us to run on AI as an organization.
What we are looking for:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Marketing, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be accepted in place of the education requirement.
- 2–4 years of experience in a technical role — including Software Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Developer Relations, Product Management, Technical Product Marketing, or a related technical go-to-market role. We welcome applications from engineers and technical professionals making a first move into product marketing.
- Eagerness and growing ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
- Working knowledge in at least one of: cloud platforms, APIs, data management, or AI — with the curiosity and ability to build expertise across adjacent areas.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while working collaboratively across functional teams.
- Travel required: approximately 10–15%.
AI Skills/Knowledge:
- Understanding of AI concepts, technologies, and current trends, including the ability to explain use cases, implementation approaches, and business applications to both technical and business audiences.
- Experience using AI tools to improve productivity, content creation, research, analysis, and workflow efficiency.
- Ability to review and apply AI-generated outputs with appropriate judgment, with an interest in developing broader awareness of accuracy, security, and governance considerations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience or strong interest in enterprise SaaS, data management, data integration, data quality, data governance, location intelligence, or adjacent data platform technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Familiarity with developer ecosystems, SDKs, open standards, or technical community engagement.
- Hands-on experience configuring software, building integrations, scripting, or working in technical environments.
- Experience creating or supporting demonstrations or technical evaluation experiences.
- Experience presenting to customers, partners, webinars, user groups, or industry events.
