Salary £30,000 fulltime equivalent
Part time - 24hr/week
Hybrid working 2 days/week on-site

The primary purpose of this role is to support the Component Engineering Manager and the wider Component Engineering team in the execution of their responsibilities.

To work with the Component Engineers to ensure the maintenance of a high-level service and to support divisions with help and advice on our PLM system, Teamcenter.

Also, to help maintain and update Teamcenter compliance documents including technical specifications, material specifications including RoHS and REACH, and support Product Safety and project teams (providing pragmatic, clear, consistent guidance).  

Responsibilities include

• Data entry and maintenance of data in systems to support the Component Engineering teams.  
• Support the CE Team and the wider Product Safety team in the execution of their responsibilities.  

• Support the timely delivery of reports and communications.  

• Support development of any applicable procedures.  

• Maintain consistent part number classification. 

• Support CE activities liaising with divisions and Product Safety as directed.  

Key requirements

• Good level of education GCSE A-C passes in English and Mathematics or suitable experience. 
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.  
• The ability to work as part of a team and individually. 

• Keenness to learn and develop new skills. 

• Ability to organise and prioritise workload, whilst working in a team.  

• Good PC skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). 
• Exceptional attention to detail.  

Desirable skills

• Some engineering knowledge. 
• Experience in the use of database systems.
• Understanding of quality systems.

Personal attributes

The successful candidate will be a team player, able to work under supervision, and independently to support the team.  The role requires a methodical approach with a willingness to learn.  The ability to document and clearly communicate knowledge and findings.  Must be self-motivated with the ability to focus a range of small and large tasks.
