Sobre este puesto de Technical Account Manager en Breeze
At Breeze, we're building the AI-powered infrastructure layer for global commerce, making it radically simpler for businesses to sell, get paid, and operate across markets.
We go far beyond traditional payment processing. Breeze combines global payments, AI, stablecoins, and a Merchant of Record-like model to take on the complexity businesses typically manage themselves, including compliance, risk, fraud, chargebacks, reconciliation, and customer support.
Our goal is simple: let businesses focus on building and selling great products while Breeze handles the complexity behind getting paid.
Backed by Sequoia Capital, Multicoin Capital, and The Chainsmokers, Breeze is a successful, rapidly growing, and exceptionally well-capitalized company. We have the runway to think long term while remaining early enough that every person joining today can have a meaningful impact on what we build.
We are hiring a Technical Account Manager, Singapore!
As our Technical Account Manager, you'll be the owner of our relationship with a portfolio of key merchants, helping them integrate with Breeze, go live smoothly, and get lasting value from our payment solutions. You'll combine the commercial instincts of an Account Manager with the technical depth to debug an integration, read an API log, and talk to a merchant's engineering team as a peer. Reporting to our Director of Sales, APAC.
You'll work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Risk and Compliance to make sure merchants adopt Breeze quickly, stay healthy in production, and grow with us. As one of the first technical account management hires in Singapore, you'll help build the function from the ground up.
We're looking for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, wants meaningful ownership, and is excited to build rather than simply maintain.
What You'll Do
- Own the technical and commercial success of a portfolio of key merchant accounts, driving adoption, retention, and expansion.
- Lead merchant integrations and go-lives end to end, from technical scoping and API, webhook, and checkout integration guidance to sandbox testing and launch readiness.
- Act as the primary technical contact for merchant engineering teams: answer integration questions, review implementations, and advise on best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues such as payment failures, declines, webhook delivery problems, settlement and reconciliation discrepancies, and chargebacks. Analyze logs, API requests and responses, and transaction data to find root causes.
- Escalate to Engineering with clear reproduction steps, evidence, and merchant impact, and follow issues through to resolution.
- Own communication with affected merchants during incidents and degradations, working with Engineering and Operations to keep updates clear, timely, and accurate.
- Partner with Sales, Solutions Engineers, and Forward Deployed Engineers on technical scoping and a smooth handoff of new merchants into account management.
- Run strategic account planning, Quarterly Business Reviews, and technical product training, including regular integration health reviews covering success and error rates, latency, and feature adoption.
- Create and maintain integration guides, runbooks, and merchant-facing FAQs, and use SQL, scripts, and dashboards to monitor merchant health.
- Build, improve, and maintain CRM systems, client health metrics, and standardized reporting workflows.
- Track and report on merchant churn rate, revenue growth and retention, client satisfaction, integration health, and adoption of new Breeze features.
- Represent the technical voice of the customer internally: turn merchant feedback and integration friction into clear product and engineering requirements, and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in Technical Account Management, Solutions or Sales Engineering, Technical Support Engineering, or a similar technical client-facing role, preferably within Payments or FinTech.
- Strong working knowledge of payments, including authorization, capture, refunds, chargebacks and disputes, settlement and reconciliation, and how risk, fraud, and compliance shape payment flows.
- Hands-on experience with APIs and integrations: REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, idempotency, error handling, and sandbox testing, using tools such as Postman, cURL, and browser developer tools.
- Comfortable reading logs, request and response payloads, and code, and writing basic scripts (Python or JavaScript) and SQL queries to investigate issues and analyze transaction data.
- Able to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both engineers and executives, and to earn the trust of merchant engineering teams.
- Experience working in scale-up and high-growth environments, and growing strategic client relationships to drive revenue.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with global Sales, Product, Engineering, and Risk and Compliance teams.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority merchant accounts, internal stakeholders from executive level down, and complex client issues and incidents effectively.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with strong debugging instincts and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments without an established playbook.
- A builder mentality with a strong bias toward action.
- Excited to use AI and automation to work smarter and rethink existing processes.
- Comfortable getting into the details and doing the work, regardless of seniority.
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, Singapore.
Nice to Have
- Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup.
- Experience with crypto, stablecoin, cross-border, or multi-currency payment products.
- Familiarity with Merchant of Record, PSP, or acquiring models and card network rules.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools, BI or reporting dashboards, and client health scoring tools.
- Prior experience in a Solutions Engineering or Forward Deployed Engineering role.
- Fluency in Mandarin or other APAC languages [to confirm].

We believe compensation should be fair, competitive, consistent, and transparent. We benchmark compensation against the market and establish thoughtful bands for each role, with compensation reflecting experience, skills, location, role scope, and expected impact. Eligible employees receive meaningful equity, so the people building Breeze can participate in the long-term value they help create.
