Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Build and strengthen relationships with technology focused PMs, analysts, and generalists across major institutional accounts, especially with hedge funds.
- Translate semiconductor, AI, and supply chain developments into commercially relevant investment implications for clients and internal sales teams.
- Use supply chain intelligence, thematic research, and channel checks to drive high value conversations, corporate access, and trading activity.
- Produce timely, differentiated commentary including flash notes, thematic summaries, supply chain updates to help clients stay ahead of key industry shifts.
- Synthesize primary research, channel checks, earnings results, and global tech developments into concise, actionable content.
- Deliver rapid read throughs on major earnings, supply chain disruptions, geopolitical events, export controls, and industrial policy changes.
- Serve as the central liaison between Asia based research teams, local sales, channel check specialists, and U.S. institutional clients.
- Collaborate with and amplify the franchise of Citics tech analysts and research product with the U.S. institutional client base.
- Partner closely with equity research, trading, and global sales to maximize client engagement and execution opportunities.
- Coordinate high impact corporate access: non deal roadshows, field trips, investor conferences, and management meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in finance or accounting discipline
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in institutional equity sales or specialist sales; buy side experience or sell side tech research background preferred
- Deep expertise across the semiconductor ecosystem — fabless, IP/EDA, foundries, OSATs, equipment, and component suppliers.
- Sound understanding of AI infrastructure: GPUs, custom ASICs, HBM, advanced packaging, cooling, networking, and ODM/EMS manufacturing
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Proven ability to turn complex technical industry developments into clear, investable insights for institutional investors.
- Working familiarity with major global tech hubs: Silicon Valley, China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Series SIE, 7, 66 are required. CFA charter holders, is a plus, but not required
Salary Range: $179,000-$200,000 USD
