SCM Planning & Visibility represents the “brain” of the E2E Operations layer, responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and ensuring seamless execution across air, landside, and ocean transportation. The function supports end-to-end supply chain operations and works closely with stakeholders to drive operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.

As a Team Leader, the role is responsible for leading a team of colleagues within a defined operational area. The role combines people leadership with day-to-day operational ownership, ensuring priorities are clearly established, work is effectively allocated, and service and performance targets are consistently achieved.

The Team Leader is accountable for:

• Leading, coaching, and developing team members to build capability and improve performance.
• Managing day-to-day operations, setting priorities, allocating tasks, and ensuring timely completion of activities.
• Monitoring operational KPIs, productivity, quality, and service performance, and taking corrective action where required.
• Ensuring adherence to defined processes, policies, controls, and compliance requirements.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, standardization, and implementation of process improvements within the area.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues and ensure seamless end-to-end execution.
• Identifying operational risks, exceptions, and capacity challenges and escalating complex issues appropriately.
• Providing regular feedback, coaching, and performance guidance to team members.
• Supporting employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, performance management, development, and succession planning.
• Contributing to business plans, operational improvements, and initiatives aligned with SCM and organizational objectives.

The role requires the ability to work independently within established policies, processes, and guidelines, while seeking support from senior leadership for complex or non-standard situations. Solutions are typically selected from established approaches, with the Team Leader expected to assess their suitability and effectiveness based on operational requirements.

Progression within this role reflects the development of broader technical expertise, supply chain and industry knowledge, operational decision-making, and people leadership capabilities.

The ideal colleague brings relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, planning, customer operations, or a related field, combined with strong people leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and operational management skills.

At this level, Team Leaders are responsible for managing employees day-to-day, setting priorities, driving performance, coaching team members, and ensuring operational objectives are consistently delivered.
