Job Title: Warehouse Team Lead
Manager: DC Assistant Manager
Department: Operations
Purpose
Responsible for coordinating and supervising all distribution activities in a manner that is consistent with company service and cost objectives.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Supervise and lead the warehouse inventory team to ensure efficient operations.
Oversee inventory management processes, including receiving, storing, and tracking stock.
Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels.
Coordinate with other departments to forecast inventory needs and plan accordingly.
Train and mentor team members on inventory procedures, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and address discrepancies.
Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
Collaborate with purchasing and logistics departments to coordinate inventory replenishment and shipments.
Generate reports on inventory levels, cycle counts, stock movements, and discrepancies for management review.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
Handle escalated issues and provide guidance to resolve inventory-related challenges.
Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among warehouse staff.
Assist the Lead Hand and DC Assistant Manager with general operational needs.
Perform other duties as assigned by management to support warehouse operations and achieve organizational goals.

Work Experience:
Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before both internal and external customers.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define and solve practical problems, collect data and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Special Skills:
Forklift certification is required. Ability to use scales in order to determine inventory counts. Knowledge of optimal warehouse space utilization.
Physical Demands
Typical duties performed at company facility during regular day including handling products and serving walk-in customers.
Ability to be on feet and mobile most of the day required.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance.
Working Conditions & Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
The employee is occasionally required to work in high, precarious places.
Most activities will be performed in a warehouse environment with seasonal climate.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud
There will be times when working before or after regular scheduled shifts may occur to meet the demands of the business needs
