Working in a small but high-performing team, you’ll play an important role supporting senior leadership, their teams and the broader business unit, while helping to create a positive and productive workplace experience. This opportunity has become available due to an internal promotion, reflecting the development and career growth opportunities available at EML.
You'll be the backbone of administrative support across the NI CORP business operations, ensuring our leaders and teams can operate effectively and efficiently. Providing high quality administrative operational support as well as exceptional customer service for our internal and external stakeholders, you'll manage competing priorities, coordinate key business activities, and help maintain the smooth day to day running of our offices.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, proactive and detail-focused, with a strong ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment. You’ll bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong working relationships and support stakeholders at all levels, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and discretion across all documentation, reporting and correspondence. You take initiative, are confident navigating competing demands, and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with advanced capability across the Microsoft Office suite preferred but not essential.
This is a 10-month, full-time secondment opportunity based in either our Newcastle or Sydney office, with work-from-home flexibility available once fully trained.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide responsive, professional and customer focused support to senior leaders and stakeholders across the business.
- Coordinate travel, business purchases, shared inbox enquiries and a range of administrative activities.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition activities and workplace events that contribute to a positive employee experience.
- Collaborate with the broader administration team to deliver consistent, high-quality support and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships, manage competing priorities and contribute to the successful delivery of team and business objectives.
What We’re Looking For
- You bring strong written and verbal communication skills, a customer focused mindset, and a natural ability to build rapport and develop effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Highly organised and detail-focused, you take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work across documentation, reporting and correspondence, while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptable, resilient and enjoy problem solving, remaining calm and effective when priorities shift or unexpected challenges arise.
- You take ownership of your work, demonstrate initiative and always looking for ways to improve processes, solve issues and support those around you.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, you handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- You have strong technical capability and are confident using Microsoft Office applications and learning new systems and technology (advanced skills preferred but not essential).
