Position Summary

Applied Materials is seeking a motivated and analytical new graduate to support logistics operations through data analysis, process improvement, and logistics systems coordination.

This role provides hands-on exposure to Industrial Engineering, warehouse operations, logistics technologies, business analytics, and digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will work with regional operations teams, IT partners, and logistics service providers to support operational excellence, systems enhancement projects, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Industrial Engineering & Analytics

  • Support warehouse capacity planning, productivity analysis, labor planning, and storage optimization projects.
  • Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and business insights.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical tools using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Assist with warehouse layout studies, process improvement initiatives, and operational assessments.
  • Support the standardization of Industrial Engineering methodologies, productivity metrics, and planning tools.

Logistics Systems & Digital Solutions

  • Support enhancement requests and business requirements related to logistics and supply chain systems.
  • Coordinate with Operations, IT, and business stakeholders to support system improvement projects and issue resolution.
  • Track development requests, testing activities, project milestones, and implementation progress using project management tools.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), process documentation, and user training activities.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process automation, workflow optimization, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Act as a logistics systems super user, supporting business users across various logistics platforms and tools.

Data Automation & Business Intelligence

  • Support the development of dashboards, reports, and data visualization solutions to improve operational visibility.
  • Assist in automating repetitive processes using low-code/no-code tools, scripting, or workflow automation platforms.
  • Participate in data integration, data quality improvement, and analytics initiatives.
  • Support business intelligence projects that enable data-driven decision making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations, Transportation, Planning, IT, and Supply Chain teams on improvement projects.
  • Support regional and global initiatives related to operational excellence, logistics technology, and process standardization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into practical system or process solutions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Interest in logistics systems, business applications, and digital technologies.

Preferred

  • Internship or project experience related to logistics, supply chain, operations, analytics, information systems, or process improvement.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, RPA tools, Power Automate, or similar analytics and automation technologies.
  • Exposure to enterprise business systems such as ERP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), or similar platforms.
  • Basic understanding of process automation, data visualization, and digital transformation concepts.
  • Interest in becoming a systems super user and driving technology-enabled business improvements.
