Scope of Position

The Supply Chain & Logistics Intern will support the Supply Chain team in analyzing business processes, improving operational efficiency, and driving data-based decision making across procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and customer fulfillment. This role provides hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and support strategic initiatives that enhance supply chain performance and customer satisfaction.

Report to: Supply Chain & Logistics Manager

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Document supply chain business requirements and process flows; perform gap analyses against operational requirements and provide data-driven insights to improve performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory management, production planning, logistics optimization, and supplier performance.
• Analyze supply chain data and develop recommendations to improve efficiency, cost, service levels, and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to support business objectives.
• Assist in the development and deployment of best practices, standard operating procedures, and process documentation across the supply chain organization.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including inventory turns, on-time delivery, forecast accuracy, lead times, freight costs, and supplier performance.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret business data to prepare reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
• Maintain databases, dashboards, and reporting tools to support supply chain visibility and decision-making.
• Participate in demand planning, capacity planning, inventory reviews, and logistics projects.
• Support special projects related to supply chain optimization, cost reduction, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Prepare presentations and recommendations for leadership based on analysis and project findings.
• Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Company management.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis functions.
• Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Access, ERP systems, or data visualization tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and draw actionable conclusions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
• Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Supply Chain Planning concepts including Demand Planning, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Capacity Planning, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Inventory Replenishment, and Production Scheduling.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Continuous Improvement principles.
• Fluent in Spanish

Working Conditions:

While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Fort Myers, FL location (Monday – Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
