POSITION SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Coordinator is a hospital-based position responsible for implementing projects and supporting strategic initiatives that improve supply chain operations across the organization. The role partners with supply chain leadership, clinical stakeholders, and departmental users optimize inventory management, product utilization, ordering processes, and operational efficiencies while balancing clinical quality and fiscal accountability. Working under the direction of supply chain leadership and exercising no direct supervisory responsibility, the position contributes to operational performance through data analysis, process improvement, inventory oversight, project execution, and customer support.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

  • Engages with supply chain leadership to establish, monitor, analyze, and report key inventory and operational performance metrics, utilizing data to identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and service enhancement.
  • Participates in inventory management activities, including cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, inventory corrections, and PAR level reviews to maintain inventory accuracy, optimize stocking levels, and align inventory with utilization patterns and operational needs.
  • Leads and supports supply chain improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, eliminate redundancy, minimize waste, and improve the overall cost and quality of service delivery.
  • Provides oversight and support for non-stock and specialty ordering processes, establishing sustainable management practices and ensuring products are procured and maintained according to operational requirements.
  • Collaborates with department leaders and Value Analysis stakeholders to implement product conversions, standardization initiatives, and cost-savings opportunities, while preparing and providing related data, analysis, and reporting.
  • Coordinates product issue management activities, including recalls, failures, returns, and outdates, and performs root cause analysis to identify trends and implement corrective or preventive actions.
  • Serves as a liaison between Supply Chain Operations and clinical departments by responding to supply-related inquiries, addressing product concerns, and communicating inventory and supply chain changes to stakeholders.
  • Executes special projects and departmental initiatives assigned by supply chain leadership to support operational goals and organizational priorities.
  • Provides operational backup and cross-functional support for supply chain leaders and team members as needed to maintain continuity of service and department operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma Required. 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare supply chain procurement, inventory management, or similar.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

  • N/A

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS PREFERRED:

  • Certified Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
  • Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP)
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
  • Similar supply chain, inventory management, or procurement certification

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs):

  • Knowledge of procurement, inventory management, forecasting, and warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, including inventory and purchasing applications.
  • Ability to analyze inventory, utilization, spend, and operational data to support decision-making and process improvements.
  • Knowledge of inventory control methodologies, including cycle counting, PAR management, and inventory reconciliation practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheet, reporting, and presentation tools.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, including Lean or Six Sigma principles.
  • Ability to prepare, interpret, and communicate operational reports, inventory metrics, and analytical findings.
  • Knowledge of product recall, return, and corrective action processes within a healthcare supply chain environment.

Compensation Range:

$23.80- $34.62

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
