DESCRIPTION 

Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll contribute to global healthcare, environmental protection, and scientific advancement. As a Supplier Performance Manager, you'll play a key role in onboarding and developing new suppliers as they transition from initial qualification and first article through production readiness and ongoing manufacturing. You'll establish performance expectations, monitor supplier scorecards and key performance indicators, and identify and address performance gaps early in the supplier lifecycle. 

Working closely with Supplier Quality, Procurement, Operations, Engineering, and other cross-functional partners, you'll help ensure new suppliers have the capabilities, processes, and capacity needed to successfully support production requirements. You'll lead supplier development and continuous improvement activities, use data analytics to identify risks and opportunities, and drive corrective actions to support a smooth transition into production. You'll partner with new suppliers across multiple regions to strengthen capabilities, mitigate supply chain risks, and establish a strong foundation for long-term performance and operational excellence. 

REQUIREMENTS 

Education, Experience 

• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in supplier management, supply chain management, procurement, or related field 

• Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field 

• APICS certifications (CPIM, CSCP) preferred 

• Six Sigma/Lean certification preferred 

• Demonstrated experience managing supplier scorecards and performance metrics 

• Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 

• Strong expertise in supplier management systems, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards QAD), and supplier performance tools 

• Advanced analytical and data visualization skills

• Strong project management capabilities with proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams 

• Experience with supplier quality management and risk mitigation strategies 

• Experience with data-driven decision making and supplier performance analytics 

• Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills 

• Ability to build and maintain strategic supplier relationships 

• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and supplier development programs 

• Proficiency in analyzing complex supplier data and developing actionable insights 

• Ability to travel up to 50% as needed 

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 

• Effective time management abilities
