Get to Know the Opportunity:

This position is part of Voya Investment Management (Voya IM) and our Summer Student Program, offering students the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the investment management industry while working alongside professionals across the Voya IM organization.

As a Summer Intern on the Voya IM Intermediary Distribution Sales Desk, you will help the sales organization operate more efficiently and identify higher-value sales prospects. You will join a team of more than 20 emerging sales leaders and gain exposure to investment solutions distributed through financial advisor intermediaries, including mutual funds, separately managed accounts, private equity, and other investment products.

This role is based in our Atlanta office, with expected onsite presence on average up to 4 days per week to support team and business priorities.

The Contributions You’ll Make:

• Support initiatives that help the Sales Desk work more efficiently and focus on higher-value sales opportunities.
• Analyze and organize data that informs where the team invests its selling efforts.
• Assist with sales-related projects and evolving business priorities.
• Learn how investment solutions are distributed through financial advisor intermediaries.
• Collaborate with Sales Desk team members and other professionals across Voya IM.
• Participate in career development, mentorship, and learning opportunities throughout the internship.
• Take ownership of assigned work and contribute to special projects as needed.
• Work toward obtaining the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) credential during the internship.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled in and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn new computer systems.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to special projects.
• Flexible attitude and proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

• Interest in financial services, investment management, or sales.
• Desire to learn about mutual funds, separately managed accounts, private equity, and other investment solutions.
• Interest in using data to identify opportunities and support sales activities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or other productivity and AI-enabled tools.
• Motivation to participate in or lead special projects.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
