We are looking for a Student Experience Coordinator to join our Partnerships team based at the University of Reading.

Working closely with the Resident Engagement Manager, site teams, university partners and Student Representatives, you will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of our Home at Halls student experience programme, creating engaging opportunities that enhance the residential experience and encourage students to make the most of their time living with us.

You'll be responsible for delivering a year-round programme of events, campaigns, communications and engagement initiatives that support student wellbeing, customer satisfaction, retention and returner bookings, while helping to promote the benefits of living with UPP throughout the student journey.

This role is primarily based at the University of Reading, with occasional travel to support other UPP sites across the South region. The role also includes some evening and weekend working to support events, university open days, applicant events and key student experience initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of a year-round programme of Home at Halls events, activities and campaigns.
• Coordinate event logistics including venues, suppliers, materials, staffing, promotion and risk assessments.
• Recruit, train, support and coordinate a team of Student Representatives who act as ambassadors for the resident experience.
• Deliver engagement and communications activity that supports customer satisfaction, retention and returner booking objectives.
• Support the planning and delivery of resident experience promotion at university open days, applicant days and recruitment events.
• Create engaging student-facing communications and social media content, encouraging authentic student-generated content and resident stories.
• Build strong relationships with university colleagues, Students' Union representatives, student groups and other key partners.
• Manage budgets, monitor engagement performance and use insight and feedback to continuously improve activity.
• Provide support and share best practice with other UPP sites across the South region when required.

We are looking for you to already have experience in a similar role supporting student engagement, events, community building or student experience activity, with:

• Experience within Higher Education, student accommodation, a Students' Union or a similar environment.
• Experience coordinating, supervising or developing student ambassadors, volunteers or student staff.
• Strong event planning, organisation and project coordination skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with students and stakeholders.
• Experience creating engaging communications, digital content or social media campaigns.
• Experience managing budgets, suppliers and multiple priorities simultaneously.
• A proactive, collaborative and customer-focused approach.

Alongside this, you'll be highly organised, adaptable and enthusiastic about creating positive student experiences and helping students feel connected to their residential community throughout their university journey.

Experience delivering student engagement programmes, supporting student recruitment, retention or rebooking campaigns, generating student-led content or working with university partners and Students' Unions would be advantageous. We are also open to applications from those at the beginning of their career who can demonstrate the passion, skills and potential to succeed in the role, particularly University of Reading graduates looking to start their career in student experience and engagement.
