Sterile Services Decontamination Technician

Department: CSSD 

Location: Duchy Hospital, Truro, Cornwall

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 weekly hours 

Shift Patterns to include: Monday to Saturdays 8:30am-4:30pm, 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm

The role: 

The safety of our patients and our people is paramount to us at Ramsay Health Care UK. That’s why our work in the Decontamination Unit is vital. It’s here that we sterilise all the instruments and equipment needed to deliver a wide variety of surgical procedures and treatments across the Duchy Hospital

If you’re eager to learn, we can support you through our Ramsay Academy to gain the skills and qualifications to develop in the department. If you are flexible and versatile, with a real can-do attitude, you’ll be perfect for this fast-paced, patient-centred role.

What you will bring:

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
• Good computer skills (MS Office package)
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Experience as a Decontamination Technician within a health care setting is desired but not essential

Where you will be based: 

The Duchy Hospital, Truro in Cornwall -Sterile Services Department providing a service to three Theatres, Day Surgery, Outpatients, Radiology, Physiotherapy and Inpatient Wards.
