We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Treasury Analyst to join our Regional Treasury team in Hong Kong. This role will support treasury operations across the Asia-Pacific region, partnering closely with local finance teams, banking partners, and corporate headquarters to optimize liquidity, manage financial risk, and ensure efficient treasury operations.
The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of progressive treasury experience, preferably within a multinational organization, and possess strong technical knowledge of cash management, banking, treasury controls, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Cash & Liquidity Management
- Monitor and manage daily regional cash positions across multiple legal entities and currencies.
- Prepare short- and medium-term cash flow forecasts and analyze forecast accuracy.
- Optimize regional liquidity through cash concentration, intercompany funding, and working capital initiatives.
- Execute funding activities and support internal financing transactions.
Banking & Treasury Operations
- Manage day-to-day banking relationships throughout the APAC region.
- Coordinate bank account openings, closures, maintenance, and periodic reviews.
- Oversee electronic banking platforms and ensure appropriate user access and payment controls.
- Support payment execution and approval processes while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Financial Risk Management
- Assist in monitoring foreign exchange exposures and support execution of approved FX hedging strategies.
- Support interest rate and other financial risk management activities as required.
- Prepare exposure reports and provide analysis to treasury leadership.
Treasury Systems & Process Improvement
- Support the administration and enhancement of Treasury Management Systems (TMS), banking platforms, and treasury-related ERP modules.
- Identify opportunities to streamline treasury processes through automation and standardization.
- Participate in regional and global treasury transformation initiatives.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure treasury activities comply with internal controls, corporate policies, and local regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate treasury documentation, including bank mandates, signatory records, and authorized user lists.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
Reporting & Business Partnership
- Prepare regular treasury reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics for regional and corporate management.
- Analyze cash flow trends, liquidity positions, and banking costs, providing recommendations for optimization.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Legal, and regional Finance teams on treasury-related matters.
- Assist with special projects, acquisitions, financing initiatives, and other strategic treasury activities.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of treasury, corporate finance, or cash management experience, preferably within a multinational corporation.
- Strong understanding of:
- Cash management and liquidity planning
- Treasury operations
- Banking products and services
- Foreign exchange and financial risk management
- Working capital management
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Treasury Management Systems (e.g., Coupa, Kyriba, FIS Quantum, GTreasury, Integrity, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Can understand Mandarin
Preferred
- Treasury certification such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or equivalent.
- Experience supporting multiple countries across the APAC region.
- Knowledge of Hong Kong and regional banking practices.
