JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Overview

The Senior Application Analyst will work on software Design, configurations, upgrades, and improvements of the SAP DM module. As the primary support contact for application end-users, the Senior Application Analyst will work to identify issues that arise in the Digital Manufacturing, PPDS and Quality Management areas, as well as issues that impact other application teams, and work to resolve them. This role will guide workflow design, build, and test systems and analyze other technical issues associated with the lab operation and/or business software. The Senior Application Analyst supports the application or Project Manager and has responsibility for the scope, schedule, and quality of the software project in relation to the applications.

The Senior Application Analyst plays a critical role in managing and optimizing our Digital Manufacturing platform, primarily Digital Manufacturing, PPDS, Quality Management in SAP. This role is expected to have a high-level understanding of business processes, systems and integration methodologies. The Senior Application Analyst will have an in-depth knowledge of SAP Digital manufacturing, PPDS and Quality management SAP configuration surrounding Manufacturing capabilities. They will have a proven ability to lead and mentor a team of analysts, providing guidance and support. This role will require a strong focus on providing excellent support to end- users, as well as effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

 Responsible for business systems design and configuration, and upgrades and improvements for low to medium complexity applications.

 Design and implement solutions to a wide range of difficult problems that are imaginative, thorough, and practical.

 Responsible for independent development and configuration of an assigned application.

 Identify issues that arise in the application area as well as issues that impact other application teams, and work to resolve them.

 Develop new processes and procedures to meet current challenges.  Create and maintain system documentation.

 Lead the estimation of enhancement or support requests.

 Guide workflow design, configure and test system changes, and analyze technical issues.

 Liaise with business systems stakeholders and software vendor’s implementation staff to ensure alignment of business needs with the delivery of system changes.

 Develop an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows; proactively identify opportunities to improve business workflow with technology improvements.

 Participate in developing documentation and participate in training and work with end users.

 Troubleshoot problems and questions and provide regular updates on status to key business stakeholders.

 Serve as a subject matter expert of assigned applications.

Provide end-user production support for issues entered issue tracking systems.

 Review the status of projects and issues with project leadership.

 Assign or delegate configuration or other activities to other team members.  Act as delegate for leadership regarding incident or problem resolution.

 Provide mentorship for other peers and take the lead to solve problems, even if outside of normal scope.

 Lead internal process design and documentation to drive continuous improvement for the IT department or team.

Minimum Qualifications

 Bachelor’s Degree in related field as outlined in the essential duties; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the preferred qualifications and essential duties duties in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree.

 5+ years of experience in a hands-on technical role through technical project management, systems development, or other similar role relating to the essential duties of the position.

 2+ years of experience serving as a subject matter expert in a capacity that is relevant to the area this role will focus/support.

 Demonstrated ability to assist with the implementation of project and systems delivery methodologies.  Demonstrated flexibility with respect to changing end-user business needs.

 Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.  Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  In-depth knowledge of SAP Digital manufacturing Module and Quality Management design and configuration.

  In-depth knowledge of SAP MM/PP design and configuration.

   Manufacturing and Quality modules of SAP.

 Experience leading complex projects and coordinating work amongst a cross-functional team.

 

     

The base pay for this position is

$78,000.00 – $156,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
