Job Description: Sr. Engineer – Site Design – CIG, Bangalore

Bloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for a Civil Engineer on Bloomenergy role, to join its CIG team based out of Bangalore. This individual should be a dynamic professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies.

The candidate must be proficient in the usage of 2D Auto-CAD and experience in designing sites for installation power generation equipment. 

Knowledge of :

• Civil construction / Electrical / Mechanical applications is desirable
• Revit usage for site visualization is desirable.

Candidate shall be flexible to work in rotational shift as needed by the business / CIG team.  

Location: This position is based in Bangalore, India

Role and Responsibility:

• Design site for installation of Bloomenergy system based on request by customer.
• Prepare 2D CAD drawings for the designed site, which includes Civil & Electrical drawings.
• Communicate with customer to get all the information that is needed and also clarify any customer doubts.
• Design site (Layout) using Auto CAD using inputs from google earth images and customer supplied as-built drawings.
• Guide civil drafters during the site design, interface with internal customers & contractors in other geographies to successfully complete the design.
• Interface with civil, electrical & mechanical design managers understand their queries and provide a solution.
• Check the site design / drawings and provide a quality output to the internal customer.
• Training new drafters on Bloomenergy site design, standards and process.

Skills and Experience:

• The Candidate should possess a Diploma / BE in Civil Engineering, with four plus years’ experience in Drafting / Design of Civil structure. 
• The candidate should be comfortable in usage of 2D Auto-CAD software independently. He / She possesses relevant skills with knowledge to read, understand and draft civil engineering drawings.
• Candidates having worked on civil design for installing electrical systems is desirable but not mandatory.
• Candidate should possess a good communication (Verbal & written) skill in English.
• A sound knowledge on usage of PDF, Image files as an Input for CAD drawings.
• Knowledge on CAD file storage and maintenance in server level is highly recommended.
• Candidate should be comfortable and willing to work in a team.

The candidate should be ready to visit site / customer location in-person for inspection / training, as and when required.
