Job Description

Role: We’re seeking an experienced data analyst to lead analytics efforts across the Scaled Engineering Operations (SEO) organization and support management of high priority technical services (e.g., GM’s next generation map). This role will work closely with colleagues in SEO to develop and implement metrics used to prioritize initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and measure impact. You will act as a consultant across our Labeling, Analysis, and Protocol teams spearheading work that will unlock the most critical insights and enable work across the team. This role will also partner closely with Engineering partners to understand and support complex services that SEO teams use to deliver results.  

What You’ll Do: 

• Identify and help launch new processes and tools that quantitatively measure our operational efficiency and the quality of our data products.  

• Lead new projects and processes that can improve efficiency and/or quality. 

• Scope and implement analyses, experiments, and pilots that inform product direction and answer strategic, cross-cutting questions 

• Understand technical details and critical datasets; work with stakeholders to design and implement improvements / solutions 

• Track, measure, and communicate progress to leadership and stakeholders that showcases the impact of our work 

• Support ad-hoc analytics requests as needed. 

Your Skills & Abilities: 

• 5+ years of work experience, including in consulting, finance, or business operations, or tech startups 

• Proficient in SQL and/or Python with experience developing and implementing metrics and KPIs for complex systems 

• Experience developing sophisticated, innovative strategies for navigating a complex and nascent industry 

• Proficiency in crafting and presenting executive-level communications on high-impact, contentious decisions 

• Track-record of using analytical thinking to pose data-driven questions, provide insightful analysis, and define and improving KPIs for continuous program improvement 

• Proficiency in influencing without authority and building consensus across diverse stakeholders for new ideas 
• Experience in vendor management and stakeholder management and communication with external partners. 

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge: 

• Experience and/or passion for autonomy driving technology and its transformative potential 

• Understanding of machine learning data operations and quality control processes 

• Naturally curious and excited to learn about the details of autonomous driving technology 

• Comfortable asking questions. 

Location

• This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Sunnyvale Technical Center in Sunnyvale, CA three times per week, at minimum.

Compensation

• The salary range for this role is $129,400 and $198,400. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
