Your role at Baxter:

You as, Sr Analyst, Production Planning, will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining schedules to ensure the achievement of operational and business objectives. This role focuses on optimizing production efficiency, productivity, plan attainment, levels of completed product stock, and customer service performance while considering raw material availability, production capacity, and demand requirements.

What you will be doing:

• Develop, analyze, and implement production plans to support customer demand while balancing inventory targets, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.
• Collaborate closely with Production Supervisors and Value Stream Leaders to ensure timely execution of production schedules and achievement of the master production plan.
• Supervise and lead inventory levels of assigned product families and finished goods to meet inventory targets while minimizing backorders and excess inventory.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between Production and Demand Planning regarding production plan changes, constraints, and supply risks.
• Assess the operational impact of changes in demand, material shortages, capacity limitations, or production disruptions, and develop mitigation and recovery plans with cross-functional teams.
• Own and drive performance of key planning metrics, including:
• Plan Attainment
• Production Efficiency
• Productivity
• Finished Goods Inventory
• Backorder Performance
• Customer Service Levels
• Analyze planning performance and implement corrective actions to improve schedule adherence, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency.
• Support the generation of supply and replenishment plans by using demand forecasts, current inventory levels, inventory targets, and capacity constraints to ensure continuity of supply across the network.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives passionate about planning processes, inventory management, service levels, and the comprehensive efficiency of the supply chain.
• Apply planning systems and analytical tools to evaluate trends, supervise performance, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Lead planning activities for Make-to-Stock (MTS) production lines, ensuring optimal inventory positioning, production stability, and alignment between demand forecasts and manufacturing execution.
• Provide leadership and direction during daily operational reviews, coordinating cross-functional teams to proactively resolve supply, capacity, inventory, and production constraints.
• Act as a key influencer within the organization, driving accountability, facilitating decision-making, and promoting teamwork across Planning, Production, Materials, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Mentor and coach junior planners and operational customers on planning standard methodologies, inventory management, and execution field to improve overall supply chain performance.

What will you bring?

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Production Planning, Supply Planning, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain roles within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience handling Make-to-Stock (MTS) manufacturing environments, including inventory strategy, replenishment planning, and production schedule optimization.
• Solid understanding of inventory management principles, production planning methodologies, and supply chain processes.
• Proven track record to work effectively in cross-functional teams and influence interested parties at multiple organizational levels.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence teams, drive alignment, manage priorities in a dynamic environment, and lead through change.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
