Speech Pathologist (NDIS, Paediatrics and Adults) | Regional Australia
Full time, with flexibility on hours | From $90,000 depending on experience
If you like having two kinds of caseload in the one week, this one is built for that. You would split your time evenly between children and adults, with NDIS at the centre of the work. One day you might be supporting a toddler with early language, and the next you are helping an adult rebuild communication after a life change.
About the team
You would be joining one of the larger allied health providers in the country. It started small, founded by two practitioners, and has grown into a network of clinics across several states. It also runs corporate wellness partnerships, so the team works with a wide range of clients.
The mission is to deliver a high standard of holistic care and build long term relationships with clients, staff and the communities they serve. Teamwork and leadership are encouraged at every level. Learning and self development are part of the culture, and the group says its clients benefit from the team’s shared growth.
The role
- Mainly NDIS clients, roughly 50% paediatric and 50% adult
- Monday to Friday, full time hours, with the option to negotiate fewer days or hours
- A billable target of 30 hours per week, which includes face to face time, non face to face time and travel
- A mix of clinic and community work, so travel is part of the job
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose and treat communication and swallowing needs across a range of ages and abilities
- Build clear, goal focused therapy plans that suit each client and their family or support network
- Write NDIS reports and progress notes that are accurate and delivered on time
- Work alongside other allied health colleagues so clients get joined up care
- Keep your own caseload moving and communicate openly with clients, carers and funders
What we are looking for
- A degree in Speech Pathology
- Eligibility for Certified Practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- A genuine interest in both paediatric and adult work
- Experience with NDIS clients is a plus, but not essential
- Your own reliable car and a current driver’s licence
- Clear communication and a warm, steady approach with clients and families
- New graduates through to experienced clinicians are welcome
What you will get
- Salary starting from $90,000, with the final figure based on your experience
- A varied caseload that keeps your skills broad
- A team culture that backs learning and professional growth
- Flexibility to negotiate your hours if full time is not the right fit
- Overseas qualified Speech Pathologists are considered, and the team understands registration takes time, so candidates who have started or completed the first stage of the process are especially welcome
