Contractor – Strategy Associate/Senior Associate (Materials & Circular Economy)
As a contractor in our Materials and Circular Economy platform, you will play a vital role in supporting key projects on a flexible, project-based basis. You will work alongside our teams to provide expertise, analysis, and strategic insights across multi-stakeholder initiatives involving the private sector, governments, NGOs, and industry bodies. Contractors at Systemiq contribute to workstreams that leverage both internal knowledge and external partnerships, often working independently or in close collaboration with core team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic analysis and insights to drive system-level change in the materials and circular economy space.
- Conduct data gathering and research to inform project decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
- Support project teams in developing practical solutions that align with economic viability, environmental impact, and social inclusion.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including corporates, policymakers, and NGOs, to drive meaningful conversations and impact.
- Deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timelines, demonstrating adaptability across different projects.
Who We’re Looking For:
We seek experienced professionals with a strong background in advisory, consulting, or industry roles relevant to materials and circular economy. The ideal candidate will have:
- A proven track record in project-based or consulting work, ideally within sustainability, circular economy, or relevant value chains (plastics, petrochemicals, mobility & transport, heavy industries, energy, consumer goods, manufacturing, waste management, electronics).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and managing multi-party collaborations.
- The ability to work flexibly and independently, adapting to changing project needs.
- Passion for Systemiq’s mission and an entrepreneurial mindset to identify opportunities and drive impact.
Locations & Contracting Approach:
We anticipate opportunities for contractors in London, Amsterdam, or Berlin, though we remain open to candidates based elsewhere with the right expertise. Contract lengths and commitments may vary based on project needs.
