40Summary:
The Computational System Effectiveness Specialist serves as the principal individual contributor and subject matter expert in discrete-event simulation and quantitative decision support. The role develops and applies FlexSim simulation models, operations research. Statistical analysis, predictive analytics, and performance measurement to support strategic planning, facility and capacity decisions, patient flow, workforce effectiveness, resource utilization, and operational improvement. The Computational System Effectiveness Specialist partners with operational leaders and multidisciplinary planning, design, engineering, and construction stakeholders to evaluate future state scenarios and translate complex findings into actionable recommendations. The role also leads cross-functional operational excellence and process improvement initiatives that advance organizational performance, patient experience, and long-term system effectiveness.
Computational System Effectiveness Specialist Qualifications:
5 years’ experience in healthcare operations, simulation modeling, operational excellence, process improvement, analytics, operations research or a closely related discipline including 5 years hands-on experience developing and maintaining discrete event simulation models using FlexSim required.
Demonstrated experience applying simulation modeling, predictive analytics, and data-driven methods to operational or strategic decision-making.
Demonstrated experience leading Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma, process improvement, capacity planning, patient flow, workforce optimization, or facility planning initiatives.
Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and facilitating multidisciplinary teams in a healthcare environment.
Education
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt Certification required.
