Sobre este puesto de Sourcing Specialist, Supply Chain en Tecovas
Tecovas was founded with the simple goal of making the world's best western boots, apparel and leather goods - and selling them at a fair price. We are a brand revolutionizing a category and welcoming first-time boot buyers and western enthusiasts alike.
Tecovas is looking for a Sourcing Specialist, Supply Chain to support the growth and expansion of our supply chain across footwear, apparel, and accessories. Reporting directly to the Sr. Category Manager, you will own purchase order placement and critical sourcing data, monitor production timelines, support vendor management, and help improve the processes and tools that keep product moving from concept to customer.
This role is required to be based in Austin, TX. Candidates must either be currently located in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX.
What you’ll do:
- Own purchase order writing and maintenance across footwear, apparel, and accessories, ensuring accurate and timely placement and updates.
- Maintain sourcing and vendor data in our product lifecycle management (PLM) system, including PO due dates, costing grids, HTS codes, commercial terms, and lead times.
- Own the Sourcing SOP library, keeping documentation current and translating system or process changes into clear training and vendor communication.
- Drive vendor data compliance in partnership with Logistics, Accounting, Sourcing Operations, and vendors, identifying root causes and resolving recurring ASN and billing issues.
- Partner with Sourcing Operations to improve how sourcing and materials data flows through our systems, identifying missing fields, handoffs, and validations.
- Manage vendors for special projects, collaborations, and short-run programs, including onboarding, purchase orders, production tracking, shipment requirements, and cross-functional status updates.
- Directly manage smaller vendors across categories and support vendor relationships, production timelines, and issue resolution.
- Review sourcing workflows and recommend opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve how the team works.
- Step in across categories when volume spikes, a Category Manager is out, or a special project needs additional support.
Experience we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business or a related field, and roughly 3 to 5 years of experience in supply chain and production, preferably within a top-tier footwear, apparel or leather goods brand or a private-label consumer goods company.
- Prior experience in an analyst or senior analyst role within supply chain, procurement, or sourcing.
- Hands-on experience entering and maintaining data in both a PLM and an ERP system.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, with the ability to identify data issues and understand their downstream impact.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain process and data requirements to internal partners and vendors.
- Ability to manage deadlines and priorities across multiple categories in a fast-paced environment.
- Bonus points for footwear, apparel, leather goods, or private-label consumer goods experience; familiarity with WFX and NetSuite; PLM implementation experience; wholesale experience; or experience working with both agents and direct manufacturers.
What you bring to the table:
- You are highly detail oriented and take ownership of the data, open items, and follow-through that keep production moving.
- You are curious about why processes work the way they do and comfortable recommending a better approach.
- You can hold cross-functional handoffs to a clear standard and communicate effectively without relying on title or authority.
- You handle ambiguity well, shift comfortably between categories, and keep the production calendar at the center of your work.
- You are a positive, hands-on problem solver who learns quickly and is willing to dig into the work.
Full Time Benefits & Perks:
- We offer insurance plans that pay 79-90% of your health premium coverage and 100% of your dental & vision insurance coverage for your family/dependents
- 401(k) match
- Paid Parental Leave
- Flexible PTO policy
- Corporate wellness program
- Competitive salary - $80,000 - 90,000/annum (commensurate with experience)
- Eligibility to participate in Corporate Bonus Program
